J 20 parts question

I looked thru my hayes and cannot figure out what this thing does. I know it moves when I depress the gas pedal, but I have tried to chase the wires and I cant find where they go.

should be the kickdown for the t400.

Yep, you should be able to get underneath the truck and follow the wire to the driver's side of the tranny.
