Diag on cruise no/go?

Hi I recently purchased a 90 gw and the cruise is not working,havent purchased a manuel as of yet. Is there any quick way to diag what component is bad? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Check and make sure all your vaccuum lines are hooked.On my '88 there's a 4amp supply fuse on top of the steering column,but they change the wiring harness in '89 so I dont know if it would be the same for your's.One thing you might try(and this will sound silly)while driving over 35mph turn your wipers all the on and then try and set your cruise.If it works then you have a bad stalk switch.

I ran into a problem with mine as the wires on the turn signal stauk broke. they broke at the point they are visible just before entering the steering column. that is a place to check also.
