I'm thinking of lifting my 79 wag limited a few inches for the moment (or at least until I can afford to do more). What do all of you Jeep gurues recomend? Is there som etype of shackle flip/mod that can be done for the front? I know how to lift the rear. I mostly need help with the front. Keep in mind, I'm on a very tight budget for the next few months and I would like to know how to lift the front a couple of inches for as litle as possible. Ride quality is not important (I live in SC and the roads are horrible anyway). HELP!!

You can add an add-a-leaf and if you need more you can put on a BJ's off road shackle.

Other than that you will have to get some new springs. Look for used springs because they would be alot cheaper than new ones and that would be the best rought to take when doing a lift.

SOA up front and shackle flip in the rear.
can be done for little money (depending on how much you fab vs. buy) it will net you about 7" of lift though. and on stock tires might look funny.

other that that i say an add-a-leaf would be the cheapest w/ some (steel) blocks in the rear.

for the front i would go with a set of BJ's lift shackles and rancho 1.5" add-a-leafs for a little lift. its enought to give it a little more "like the factory should have built it" look i think.
