I am just considering this right now. Has someone here done it, and if so what issues would I face? I know the hood would need to be welded shut, and the fenders cut down in line with the back of the hood. What am I looking at inside the engine compartment (radiator, fenderwells, etc.)? Also, I would assume that the whole front clip would need to be stiffened. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I know this has been discussed here and on the old fsj-list. Not sure that anyone has done it yet though.

Chris Enos has done it "1978 chero" I saw it in person at the Gorman get together in 02. He could tell you anything you need to know to accomplish making it all work. smile.gif

If I had a garage and another car to drive I'd do a tilt front. I have a rough sketch of what needs to be done. Just need time and a few more tools to do it. My plans were to build a 3/4" tube frame to mount to the inside to tie the hood, grill and fenders together. The whole project is in jeopardy if I built a custom front bumper. I think once I construct a front bumper I won't be able to tilt the front end past it. We'll see what other brainstorms I can coem up with to work around that.
