I've found a pair and was curious how well these would work. Do they fit nicely or are they too big? Does it require a lot or little fabrication?
Thanks

'86-'93 Mustang seats work well. Ford changed the seats in when they reskinned the mustang in '94, so you will nead to measure the width of the seat rail bolt pattern and the depth to see how much work it will take to put them in. If the '99 seats don't work, try trading for the earlier seats.
'86-'93 Mustang seats are very close to FSJ seats. The bolt pattern on these seats has a width of 13 7/8, while the bolt pattern on our rigs is 13 5/8 (as measured on my '77 Chero). There is enough play in the seat risers and sliders that width-wise the '86-'93 Mustang seats will drop in. As for depth, you will need to drill new front holes through the seat base to get the right spacing. The seat plate is reinforced at teh point of the front mounting hole (about .25 thick) so you can get a good strong connection. I used grade 8 bolts to mount my original Jeep sliders to the Mustang seats. I used '89 Mustang seats and it was an easy afternoons work to put them in. I would highly reccomend the swap as the contoured buckets are a night and day improvement in comfort over the original flat buckets. Having a headrest is good for piece of mind in case you ever get rear ended.
Others on this list have swapped in all kinds of seats. It just depends on how much work you want to do.
