I have a '72 wagoneer with a 3" body lift and now I can't shift into 4wd. Is it possible to heat the shaft thats atached to the shifter and bend it so its closer to the floor or jusr cut the hole in the floor larger so I can shift.

Either method or a combination of both will work just fine.

I simply cut shifter and rewelded it straight when I did my B-Lift.
One thing I did need to do was make the hole in the floor slightly bigger towards the front so it would travel the full distance.
Rear axle will be a bolt in with maybe some slight changes to the E-Brake cables.
Front will bolt up just fine (read minor struggling), the '72 pitman arm is different, disc brake lines will/should connect fine (mine did).
I did change the master cylinder, some folks do the booster and proportioning valve (I have had no issues not doing that).
On the pitman arm, search in GenDisc for a post by "babywag" using the term pitman arm, Tony went through a bit of hassle getting his swap straightened out.
