At least it's not on 2ft blocks, unlike others I've seen...

How does one climb in? Getting out is easy. Just roll when you hit the ground so as to not break your leg.

Some people have too much time, too much money, and not enough brains.

That made a brief appearance in Jp mag, not as a feature, but just a single photo. I think the tires were 53", IIRC.

It seems like it would work good in Texas with the high water, maybe it is in the wrong state? To each his own.

<snip> Did anyone else catch those horns on the roof????
There's only two things that come with stacked horns on the roof: Steers and ++++ trucks.

And I don't see any hooves on this one...

With those huge spring arches, I wonder if it actually has any articulation. And are the springs the only things holding those axles under the truck? It must not have any more power than stock, unless those springs are so stiff that they prevent axle wrap. I wish there were more pictures so we could laugh at it more. ..

That thing is about 5 feet too tall for my taste. Those springs will limit arcticuation AND side stability must be horrible because of so much arch. But to each his own.

Looks like a Wolo Train horn setup. Great for the Ol' timers that don't do the speed limit. Mounting them where the spare tire goes is a great place on a FSJ.

just think... if there werent people like this pushing the onvelope we wouldnt even have offroad vehicles, or technology, if people like this guy werent around we wouldnt have 70" TV screens or 18" subwoofers, heck we most likely wouldnt even have 2 story buildings if people didnt try to make things bigger, faster, stronger! i guess im just the glass half full kinda guy, i just try to see the bright side of a useless machine.

Worked with a fellow in Tampa that had a J20 just about that high. I stand 5'9" and I could just fit my shoulder under the rear pipe bumper. While we were installing some under-slab pipes for an apartment building, we would have our breaks under the bed to get out of the sun. We would lean some plywood against the axle.

He had stock axles under it, and 36" tires. Looked wierd. He used it for driving in the swamps. Drove it to work several times. He said it was a bit scary to drive in city traffic. He had extra mirrors to keep track of traffic around him. He took corners nice and slow. Folks generally gave him plenty of space.

Our foreman drove a lifted Waggy with 36s. Those were my first real exposures to FSJs. The foreman raced into the parking lot of an apartment complex we were working on and put his waggy into a 4 wheel drift. That was a sight! He broke a front knuckle doing that. The tire collapsed and I though he was going over (he did too!). He didn't but it was quite a show!
