I'm wondering if anyone has real experience with any of these brands and if one is a great deal better than the other. What I'm after is steering parts like TRE's and draglinks, etc.
The brands are: McQuay-Norris, TRW, Moog.
Thanks for any insight. I'm redoing the steering on my tow rig and I dont want to buy crap parts... but if there is no difference, I can save money by buying different TRE from a mix of the 3 brands. :D

If you're talking about ball joints, tie rods, etc., I would bet a dime to a dollar that the various parts, such a ball joint, are made at the same place and simply re-branded by TRW or Moog.

Moog. Unless Chryco's most recent recalls work, theirs are the only LBJ's that last on the problematic Libby/Dakota/Durango's. I have always had good luck with Moog, and do not want to chance it now even though Ralph may be dead on.

McQuay-Norris ball joints are junk. Got uppers and lowers on my Tahoe and within 6 mos. I had to replace the driver's side twice because they developed too much play in the joints. Life time replacement on them from Checker's but it still sucks that I need to replace them so often.
Next replacement wil be MOOG.

I'm after Tie rod ends on this project, I already put in TRW ball joints.
The moog TRE's are not terrible on price, I will get those.

I bought TRW tie rods for my honcho when it needed them, all three peices came stamped "MOOG - Problem Solver" I'm not complaining, though I am glad I didn't pay the extra $ for the Moog brand parts if thats what I was gonna get anyway...

I think thats actually supposed to be a snyde joke, not a moog branding. from what i've been told, TRW was once part of MOOG, there was a disagreement, and part of the company broke away and went independent.
