On the instrument panel, the 4wd indicator light has red and orange wires coming out of it. What do they connect to?
TIA

Hey Coley, it should run to the transfer case or to the lever. More then likely it will go to your t-case. That's where mine go for my q-trac. It should go to your fuse block and out to under the hood. You should be able to follow it down to the t-case. BTW, give me a call about this weekend and let me know.

Roger that on this weekend, MudThrasher
Mine didn't orignally come with a 4WD light.
The T-case got replaced with one that has the plug in it. I replaced the wire that goes to the Neutral start/Backup light with one that also plugs into the T-case. What I'm missing is the actual light that goes to the back of the instrument panel (Pep Boys, no problem).
I know that light on the back of the instrument panel has an orange wire that plugs somewhere on the back of the instrument panel, and a red wire that plugs somewhere else.
If I could pull an instrument panel from an early 80's wag with a np208, I think I could figure it out

Hi Coley I have a question that is relevant to yours. If you could help that would be great. My 4WD light has just started to come on. I have a quada trac. Do you think this may be a problem? Or did I just shake the bulb into place the last time I went 4 wheelin?

That wold be my guess. Something just got jostled back into place.
