from propane to gas

I've run across a smokin' deal on a freshly rebuilt 360 that was running propane (for the whopping 50 miles that are on the motor)

I have a 4bbl intake a Holley Truck Avenger

Is the swap back to gas as straightforward as bolting up the carb and running new fuel lines/pump to the gas tank?

should be, but you may have to run 93+ octane in it if it was really BUILT for propane (high compression).

Double check the system...some of the propane systems are set to run both gas and propane...

Not sure about TX, but in IN, propane runs $1.52/gallon. Personally, I would prefer to run at 1/2 the fuel cost...

The guy said the motor wasn't built specifically for propane (stock compression)

I'll see what he has left of the propane setup. If he'll toss it in with the motor you can have it cheap:thumbsup:
