On my 78 widetrack I ordered just the one high steer knuckle. That is what parts mike said I would need.It looks the tie rod would need to be at the same height on the knuckles.I guess the tie rod will angle up on one side and the other arm from pitman angling down to that?I use all other stock parts right? One other thing my axle had only one c-clip on the axle shaft and I took it off and got the drive gear out to the end and almost off,but it wont come for nothing. After 3 days working on that I am jerking it and letting local axle shop do it.There is definately only one c-clip on both sides, nothing else.

I've read both of your posts and though I'm sympathetic, I can't help laughing. The whole build-up process is definitely a test of patience, sanity, and pocketbook. If you're married it'll test that, too. ;)
Before you take your axle in, explain some more. There should be only ONE c-clip around the axle shaft. On *some* there's another ring clip that fits on the VERY OUTER EDGE of the outer hub. If you want, I can take pics and post them so you can see. It's a PITA to get out, but you can and it's easy. Don't give up!!

If there is another ring clip or anything holding the drive gear in place besides the clip on the actual axle shaft I cannot find it.The one on the axle shaft is it.I even modified a puller to get in there on the drive gear and it almost got it out.I would like some pics of this clip thing a bob I have been hearing about PPLLLLease! This is kind of funny though I guess.I have a pile of brand new parts to restore the whole vehicle and cant do anything until this t-case and axle Bulls*** is finished!!Thanks for helping out the Texas dummy.
