Guys n gals, here's what happened. We've had ton of home renovations going on here and as such, Tequilla got parked outside for 2 weeks. Tons of rain here and the truck sat in murky water the whole time.
It's not the interior, but the entire undercarriage and the tires. IT STINKS SO BAD. Mix together raw sewage/farts/5 day old food from McDonalds and that's the smell.
I got some tips from a couple of others, but that's not working. I have pipe tobacco that I lit up under the truck and let it smoke away. Even that's not working.
Drove the truck yesterday and today again when I got home, hoping it would help "air it out" Nope.
If anyone has any ideas, please post up. I just had a roofing contractor here and when he walked in the garage I thought he was gonna pass out.
Yup, it's that bad.
HELP!

water and bleach might do it, try to keep it off the visible paint and glass though. Maybe a good car wash with under body sprayers????????

Best thing I can think of is Clorox. Put it in a garden hose sprayer bottle and spray the underside with a sweeping nozzle. Another agent might be chlorophyl. When I worked maintenance at a shopping mall about 30 years ago we used to spray diluted bleach in the dumpster hatch to keep down the stench of garbage thrown in there by the food court eateries. It worked OK.

Hey, chlorophyl sounds like the ticket. Find a field of TALL grass/weeds thats STILL GREEN, drive through said field & let it scrub the underside of the truck.
Some o' them weeds are pretty smelly and might counteract the funk that's got you down.

I just took Sundog through some nice sagebrush today and he smells purdy!
BUT..ok, at walmart, somewhere near the paint, there should be a section that has industrial cleaning stuff. Look for a gallon bottle of yellow disinfectant. It WILL KILL all bacteria, and bacteria is what is making your poor Honch stink. You need to spray that stuff diluted up in there, give it a good soaking. Did you have flooding? May want to change your diff fluids too, if they have vents that are hoseless or lowhanging.

Ya'all, great ideas so keep em coming. It's still to wet and muddy here for me to take it thru tall weeds since my transfer case is blown. I'll run out tomorrow and pick up disinfectant, bleach,, etc.
In the meantime, I found a cigar that somebody gave Bill prolly 5 years ago. Now I know I'm desperate. I just lit that sucker up and I've got it smoldering under the truck right now.

rather have money and no FSJ
or no money and an FSJ :p
In the meantime, grab a can of no-name bathroom spray and tape the nozzel down, lay it under the rig.
its a cover-up but it can work for a bit

I wonder if a good spray down with "Gunk" might work. Everytime I do that to mine (from misc. oil leaks in the front) I always get comments on the smell. Nobody really likes it, but it sure smells better than what you are describing!
Good luck,

Simple Green bath (I do mean an extensive lather, btw) and a pressure washer for the exterior (especially the underbelly). Lysol the whole interior, may even need to unbolt the seats and spray the underside of them too (mold spores in the foam). Learned this from friends who restored their Katrina trashed rigs. In case you're wondering, Simple Green is bio-degradable.

Take it to the local do-it-yourself car wash (hi pressure spray), do the car wash thing with special attention to the underbelly. Ryan's right, it's the bacteria from sitting in water all that time.
Use the high pressure wash and hi pressure rinse, then use the fancy wax on the underside (not to make it shiny, but for the perfume stuff they put into the wax these days). Be sure you take it to an upscale car wash with the foam wax stuff.
Hit the tires with some strong detergent/antiseptic (alcohol or acetone applied with a rag) and use an old toothbrush to get between the treads. I'm betting the tires are the worst offenders, they're closer to the ground.
If that doesn't do it, slap a set of "truck balls" on it and no one will think twice about it.

Okay ya'all, thanks so much for all the tips. Surprisingly the cigar smoke helped, and I think now it's more so the tires that wreak worse than anything.
sheperdskeep, I'd completely forgotten about Simple Green. I've used that before and it's goooood stuff, so thank you for mentioning it.
I'll pick some up and blast away on the Honcho when I get home today.
Thanks again ya'all. Most appreciated!

Hey Janie,
Go to where you keep your household cleaning stuff and get your bottle of X14 or whatever else you use as a mildew cleaner for the bathroom.
That stuff'll knock it down faster than my dog will gulp a cheeseburger.

HEY! Cut that out. I resemble that remark.
I would have to agree with using some kind of bacterial killer. Simple Green probably won't do it. (by the way, I used to sell that stuff when it first came out. It is FDA approved for human consumption, although not very tasty. It was originally designed to clean coffee pots, but worked for so much more.)

OH JEEZ...and the saga continues....
What you need to do is send that truck back my way...:)...
Course the short time I had it, I only pressure washed it...
Does it still have that carpet on top of the vinyl inside it? That was something if I had kept it, I would have taken out....I know you said it was outside though...

maybe some baking soda? A little water and make a paste? Who knows the stuff works good for a bunch of other stuff so I'd try it.

I once had a similar situation. I pulled my Jeep about frame deep into a lake with a paved boat ramp and soaked away all of the mud, gunk, etc. Luckily, about 2/3 of this ramp was too shallow for the average boat guy to put his boat in the water without getting his shiny new s.u.v dirty, or stuck, so we weren't in the way. It was a nice summer day(read 118o!) so we just went swimming for about an hour. We were not dealing with stink however! We were dealing with clay. If you've never experienced wet clay, it can be quite a treat! As soon as it gets hot from brakes, exhaust, etc... it becomes solid and it suddenly feels like you have square wheels! I don't know if this will help your situation or make it worse... I just thought I'd throw it out there!

Janie I've had good luck with Johnsons baby shampoo for the interior,Purple power or simple green for the outside. Also after the interior is washed put a dehumitifier in it for a day to dry it out more.

Smell is about completely gone. Between the cigar smoke and driving it on asphalt Tequilla no longer causes folks to pass out.:)
Chris, sell it? Naw. Lemme get a working t-case in this beast along with a few other things so I can finally go play!!!!!!:D
Thanks again ya'all, most appreciated!
