After a couple of months I finally got to go pick up my new GW! Woohoo! This was Josh D's. Josh was awesome to work with, thanks Josh! Threw in lots of parts with the deal including the original wheels, grill assembly, a limited slip and gears.

Josh did a great job building this with a 4" lift and 33s, so it's gonna stay that way. This will be the camping and fishing rig for me and the boys so I can beat on the cherokee without worrying about it. I'm planning on adding a rear locker and the limited slip in the front, but that's about all it needs mechanically.

I haven't taken many pictures yet, but here's the jeep and the trip back. My friend Steve (Moby Jeep) and his 11 year old Noah came along for the ride, so we had to hit some cheesy Route 66 places on the trip back!

Don't worry Josh, I'll take good care of her!

Good on 'ya!

I've always thought Josh's Waggy was one of the coolest ones on here. Now I think Tim's is one of the coolest....:)

That is a clean rig. I'd like to find one that nice some day. I can only afford the cheap one's for now.

 Thanks for the great comments! I'm really happy with this wag, I think it's going to be great for the forest service "roads" around here. I usually like building em myself, but right now I have little time, and this will give me time to let my cherokee project take as much time as it needs while still giving me a nice FSJ to wheel in.

I was really impressed with Josh and his rigs, he's still got a very nice YJ and a J2000 with zero rust that he said will be his next project.

Thanks Tad. I checked out the crossover steering on Josh's YJ when I was there, it's a nice setup. Haven't decided if I want to go that way with the Cherokee yet.

Sig's updated!

I don't think I'll have much time until August for wheelin, but if you're still around here Charlie we should go for a trail ride then.

Man, with all the great comments, I'm starting to feel sentimental! The Jeep treated me well and is a very solid rig. You should get many miles and trails out of her. I'm glad to see she went to a true enthusiest and will be treated properly. I got her started, now Tim can continue and give her the finishing touches!

Thanks again for giving her a good home.

Thanks again for giving her a good home.

She seems happy here too. Took a nice drive today looking at properties. Probably a total of 150 miles or so. It's a solid rig and feels good on the road. Can't wait for a chance to take it on the trails.

Looking at this made me think of what it would be like to drive a relatively normal (this is meant to be complimentary) looking rig again.

You mentioned a few moderate mods;
4" Susp lift
33's
Grill
Front tow hooks
Is that a tranny cooler behind the grill?

Anything else, thats maybe not so obvious? Sharp looking for sure. Congrats.

It's actually got two tranny coolers on there, for whatever reason (they were put on there before Josh got it). Holley truck avenger 4bbl and manifold, TFI, electric fuel pump, flowmaster 40:thumbsup: . It's a relatively mild build that's very capable, and as I found out yesterday, still has great road manners.
