is 650 too much

I have a stock 82 wag 360/727 with only the TFI upgrade, i also own an unused edelbrock 650 cfm carb.
is this too much for my truck, will I just be wasting gas?

I have never heard of a Edel. 650, only the 600. If it is a 600, I don't think it would be too much provided you have been using a 4 bbl. If you have the 2 bbl now, I would look closely at the condition of the rings, cam and such before I give it the 4 bbl umph. Alot of folks on here use 600's or close to it. AMC's like gas, so I don't think you'll have a problem at all, 'specially if you tune it right. Good Luck.

The 650 (or 600 or 670 or whatever it is in the 600 range) will work just fine.
