Was browsing around and came across this at a gov't auction site.

1955 WILLYS M38A1 JEEP, 4X4, 4 CYL, MT, RUNNING COND UNKN, W/ROLL BAR, TANK, EST 32,308 MI, VIN 84067. (1236WW-7031-MI13)

Current bid was $2407. Don't recall where it was. Go to

http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/auctsctrl (http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/auctsctrl) to take a peek. Under search, type Jeep. Seems to have a large fuel tank mounted in the rear. I can't figure out how to link it . . .

This is also a very mean looking

2 1/2 TON 6X6 JEEP CARGO TRUCK,M35A2,5 SPEED TRANSMISSION WITH 2 SPEED TRANSFER CASE, SERIAL NUMBER:04C59071653910426,(ESTIMATED MILES:19,415), HOURS:1,617,140 HP MULTI-FUEL. (DOES RUN)

with a bid of $2877 (11:00 PM EST on 5/31 - another day or two left I think.

Enjoy.

So who snatched up that M715 fire truck back on Monday?
That was too cool..

Looks like it was used as some sort of fire truck. I think that tank in the back is for water not fuel. Brush unit maybe? Either way, very cool.

Deuce and a halfs (m35s) are always awesome too, but thats something I really have no space for...

Looks like an all-terrain brush fire rig...Look at the rear quarters, 'call 911'

Yeah, our township has a cj5 brush unit that looks sorta like that one, Its painted that same firetruck yellow with a rollbar and a mini pumper set up in the back. They always wave to me when I'm in my wrangler too, hah.
