Having recently bought some creekside land in Teton Valley, I've decided to move the Chero up to the Idaho Falls airport for a while. I've got an ok setup for storing it there, but I'm interested in any local knowledge, mechanics, winter storage ideas, friends with empty barns, etc.

Also, interested to meet any FSJers from Driggs, Victor or Jackson Hole.

hit me with PM or email.

thanks, Duncan

SET UP THE COOLANT THICK AT LEAST 50/50 OR FOR -30 TO -40 DEGREES. MAKE SURE YOU WASH THE CAR REGULARLY IN WINTER THE MAGNESIUM CLORIDE THEY USE FOR DE-ICER IS BRUTAL ON OLD SHEET METAL. AS WELL IT RUSTS ALL YOUR BOLTS AND AXLES PRETTY WELL.

LITTLE FUEL STABILIZER AND A 195 THERMOSTAT YOU SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO. FREEZE PLUG BLOCK HEATER NEVER HURTS.

I PREFFERED OPEN DIFFS OR A POWERLOK IN THE REAR LOCKERS SUCK ON ICE. BFG ALL TERRAINS WERE HARD TO BEAT FOR ICY TRACTION. MUD TERRAINS STAY TOO HARD EVEN WITH SIPPING AND MAKE ICY CONDITIONS EVEN MORE OF A PAIN
