i dont have official numbers or measurements, but since no one else has answered you yet,id venture to guess if it came frome 2500 pickup that its around the same 67.5 that other SRW trucks are.

i have seen them in vans also,so if it came from one of themits prolly wider.

for what thats worth,anyway :)

The reason I asked is that I have the line on one locally with 4.56 gears already in it for a good price and I was thinking about swapping it in place of the D44 rear for a while to sustain the 35" swampers I'm going to run while I save up for 1-tons.

I know the wms/wms on my NT 44 rear is 59" ,the front I believe is 63"

I was hoping the sf14-bolt would be narrow enough that I could use 1.5"-2 wheel spacers up front to match the rear

BTW, if your front axle is stock narrow-track, it should be ~60.5".

Front or rear?

I believe he said front in his post ;) Which is about right as I recall for the front. But as I recall for the rear, its 57.5 or so.

:banghead: LOL

doh!

I'm sure its wider than that? There is a noticable difference between the two. I haven't measured them myself, but from looking at it I would guess at least 2 inches per side. I thought it was 59" out back.

I need to measure it my lazy self when I get home

if its a good price grab it. i wouldnt worry too much about the width difference. i ran my FF 14 bolt with a WT 44 front, wich is only a couple inches wider a side than what you have, and i liked the way it looked

plus, you can still use whatever wheels youre currently running and its way stronger than a rear 44 :drivin:

thats the idea

I just scored Dana44 4.56's from KaiserMan for the front

Matching widths is over rated. If you're a little off, it'll still drive. They say that if your front is wider than the rear, you'll turn better and if your rear is a little wider than the front, you'll turn worse. I can't see that much of a difference.

If you have fat tires, you won't even notice it. I ran a N/T rear with a W/T front, and you could tell, but not that bad. Now I run a 65" 14 bolt rear and a 70" D60 front. With 15" wide tires, you can't tell. ;)

Buy that sucker and swap out that little 44.

I just installed a 2wd SF14 bolt in my GW. If you check my post under New Years Project you can see what it looks like with a chevy D44 up front. My rear track is about 2-3" narrower in back. If I used the Jeep D44 WMS would be the same or pretty close with the SF14B in back.

I believe my measurement was 62-63" WMS to WMS on the 2wd 14bolt I'm using. Perches were around 46" center to center, I had to move them 1.5" in on each side to match the Jeep perches.

4wd version of the 6 lug SF14bolt is wider than the 2wd version as well.

Workin' on it

I'll probably go ahead and use quality 2" spacers up front to get it close

I'm going to be running the 35x15.50 SX Swampers on 10" wheels
