I got all my pieces out of the shop today. Went .30 over bore, .10 on rods and .20 on mains.
Got the pistons and crank together. Hopefully, I will get the heads, cam, timing cover and oil pan tommarrow. Im still waiting on a new edlebrock intake
Anyway, I am looking at right about $1000, and that includes new summit cam redface.gif Thats with me doing the tear down and put together. I took the freeze plgs and oil plugs out. Shop put them in and cam bearings. The rest is all me. I got the summit rebuild kit for alittle less, cause I had them take out freeze plugs, cam bearings and oil pump rebuild kit(I just did it about a month ago). So thats about it. Dennis

Yea, I had planned on just doing the heads and a cam, but after tearing into it, evrything was bad. The cam bearings were honeslty gone. Thats prolly why I kept tearing up cam gears. Also has some terrible valves and seats. Crank had some groves, and block had some wear. One thing lead to another, and Im rebuilding the whole thing.

All your gonna need left is a paint job!
Then you'll have a brand new truck!
