I've got a 72 Wagoneer, and have been curious about lifting this beastie.
But when I look at Randy's, HellCreek, etc. Everything starts at 74, kit wise.
Just curious as to why this is ? Will these kits just work, or is there something "completely different" going on underneath a 72 ?
Thanks,
Mark

The front springs from a newer lift will work from what I have seen Your front srpings should be under the frame, instead of side slung like the J-Trucks of that year. For the rear, you can either do blocks (yuck) or do a shackle flip, and you may need a 2" block if your rear springs are really sagged. Or you can get custom rear springs like several here have done. Which is the route i would go if you can afford them.
The rear post mount for the springs scares people away from making them in mass production. Front is the same as the rest and you can go with a shackle flip & block in the rear or have some springs custom made.
I'm running chevy truck springs in the rear, no shackle flip and a 2" block to even it out with the front which were rearched and a new secondary main spring added.

Lots of folks have got past this in several ways.
