So I bought the Rancho lift from sfbayboater's clearance sale. I think the rancho gives 2-2.5" iirc, I ended up with 4-4.5" in the front and 5" in the back.

Ride is a little stiffer but that's expected. put the dpa on wrong so the steering wheel is 90 degrees off-might fix tomorrow or I'll let the alignment shop deal with it.
I was hoping to avoid an order to BJ's for extended brake lines and sway bar disconnects but I guess I'll just have to suck it up and spend some $$.
Seriously need bigger tires now.
FYI-lack of gas cap issue has already been resolved.

I think it looks pretty cool:cool:. Yes, it needs bigger tires, now. Also, some tinted windows would be nice.
Nice looking rig

Probably not on wrong, you probably just need to adjust your drag link to recenter the steering wheel. It happens to a lot of us.

Looks good. Also looks like more than just the 2.5" lift. That is the 44044 springs in front and blocks in the rear? Maybe it's the smaller tires making it look like more lift, with more gap between them and the fenders. My 31" tires give me about as much gap as is shown in your before shot.

looks good, just need bigger tires and it'll be ready to rock. just gotta remember the 2.5" lift is measured on a stock non saggy suspension so it doesnt look too far off. and if it was a perfect non saggy suspension wait couple weeks they'll settle down. i always liked that blue with woodgrain.

My 88 looked pretty much like that after the 4" Black Diamond lift went on in 98.
...and the problem is? :D

Finally got more appropriate tires.

As it turns out, I think it's the trailmaster lift. Much to rough, and to high, to be the Rancho springs.
