i just got finished putting my jeep together and now it wont go over 45. it has 456gears and 36in tsl's. is the transmission slipping or am i in 4lo(no front driveshaft)or is it something else. like the tv linkage because I did put on a holley carb?

Once had the brake piston stick in the master cylinder of my CJ. Kept the brakes applied, wouldn't do 35MPH with full throttle.

Does it shift through all gears smoothly? When doing 45 is the motor screaming(high revs)as the 456 is a pretty tall rear? Will it kick down to passing gear?

yeah it shifts smoothly i think it is in 4lo because I put in a new tcase and I havent hooked the lever up yet.

at what speeds do you shift into 2nd and 3rd gears?

I think you would know when your TC is in LO ,at least I do in the stock wags. Fresh starts are slow and you can hear the TC whine and shifts are quick. Think it would be more noticable with big tires and a tall rear.
