I got everything apart excepting the balljoints. I did get the rusty old nuts off tho...that was a job in itself. Otherwise the housing is gutted.
Question: On the inner stub (the part that is held on by the backing plate and has a bearing in it for the outer axle shaft to ride on)....is there a seal for that at all that keeps gunk out of the bearing in there? an old piece of rubber fell out of one side, and nothing came out the other.
What it's called, and mayber a part number would be most helpful. (axle is an '82 D44)
