Hey guys...
Was wondering if any of the California guys know of any and all good boneyards for FSJ??
I am just getting in the game and want to source some parts for a project rig that I am thinking of buying.
Any and all info is much appreciated
Thank you... :fsj:
J&W in Antelope, CA is the only one I've dealt with but they are VERY PROUD of their stuff. I'd only use them as a last resort.

Couple in LA area, sometimes they have SJ's sometimes they do not.
One way down Chula Vista, but sometimes they don't have anything either.
Scotty's has a good inventory.
Prices are higher than in other regions of the country though.
(As with anything else automotive related is seems)
Depending on how much you need, it's almost always cheaper to find a parts truck, and sell off what you don't need.
I've parted/scrapped 4 SJ's in the past year or so.
Highest I paid was $475, lowest one was free.
Car-parts.com is also an excellent resource, and even with shipping across country can be a good deal.
i.e. SoCal yards wanted $100-$150 for an air cleaner assy. for my '01 Ford Taurus.
I got one from MN for $35 shipped.

The pick-your-part yards are hit-or-miss, but I've found Wagoneers there (about a 50% hit rate).

The one in Stanton had the most, and the one in Rialto is always interesting. If you go to Scotty's, the Fontana and Rialto yards are nearby.
