Is this enough shock travel?

I'm looking for shocks for the front of my truck and I think I found some. They're some used shocks from a vehicle here that seem to have some life still left in them. They have 9" of travel. I measured my suspension at full compression (6" from frame to leaf spring) and full droop (14" from frame to leaf spring) which means I have 8" of travel. Do you guys think that 1" of extra travel is enough? Or do I need more?

if the shock extends out to at least 14" long, then yes.

That's a std shock, long travel in Rancho or ProComp are 14-15"s of travel... I guess I should add that what you measured is without bounce factored.
