MSD Coil, Re-time?

I bought an MSD blaster 2 coil this evening for my new but stock ignition system, do i need to re-time the engine after i install it, the instructions dont say anything but i wanted to be sure. seems too easy

No; the timing is determined by the relation of the distributor rotor to the distributor pickup coil. A new distributor doesn't affect that.

Does any of the instructions say anything about opening the spark plug gap. Usually with a hotter spark you can increase performance by opening the gap a little.
