no title? how to get one in OHIO?

There is a 79 Cherokee forsale in the Akron area and the guy doesn't have a title for it. Any Buckeyes know how I can obtain a title?? I do have a 82 Wagoneer, that I could "borrow" the title/vin tag if that is possible

Oh I just saw that posting...I have a 79 Vin and title around somewhere from my old Cherokee, I was just tempted to grab that thing on ebay, even though it's a NT Chero...
But starting to change my mind....reality sinks in..:(
Ask the seller if he can file for a missing title...that usually works fine in Ohio...

In Ohio the last registered owner can file for a duplicate title. I have always been leary of things where you are obviously buying from someone who has never legally owned the vehicle and can't even contact the last legal owner to get a $4.50 dup title so it is all legal...just my thoughts.
