This picture is testimony that you can get a stock Waggy not only on the trails in Moab but back home again too. :D I imagine Michel (Letank) travelled farthest from San Francisco to join in the great fun with Gambler68, BRUTUS, DesertBeast, Blt2krl, Kennyh, Srobertsfsj, Shimniok, Mistifire, Jeepstress and myself. I wonder where Viscasha was though...

Thats cool, Timothy! It handled great, but it was vastly different from wheeling my Wagoneer. It is longer, wider, and despite the lift, it had lots of stuff to hang up underneath. I'm glad I drove her, but I'm gonna stick to wheeling my Wags from now on.

Wow. Looks like a blast Bro. Too bad it's all the way up there. Can't do Ouray and Moab both.

Don't think mine meets the qualifications at the moment. Seems to be a gap between the output of the engine to the input of the QT somewhere...

So, it's going to donate it's engine to Colleen's 88 (Colleen hasn't been released to 4wd status from the Doc yet, hip replacement, y'know), and it's off to the engine swap!

Hopefully, the Doc will clear Colleen soon and we can wheel the waggie some.

It's not just wicked looking.... it is WICKED PERIOD! Krista got it all on video... I hit my front diff square on a rock and chipped some powdercoat off the diff cover. I hit my front spring hanger and scraped the bottom of the 14bolt in two different places on rocks. This was the obstacle that broke both motor mounts and the tranny mount. I was the only full sheetmetal body FSJ to attempt/conquor it. I don't think I would have made it without Paul spotting for me. Thanks again Paul

Note to self: move out west as soon as possible

Awesome pics. Moab is a place I really wish to visit within the next few years, preferebly several times. If I moved out there, it would certainly be a lot easier.

Really good photo's. Seeing Jason's truck with the high lift jack kind of makes me want to route my exhaust straight up out of the be with a single pipe. I really like the finesse used in the Golden Crack video.

I am kind of curious if there is a story behind this picture though.????

It looks like a great spot to park and all but I'm guessing there's something more going on.

I was low on tranny fluid when we got here and did not know it. About 2/3 of the way up, the tranny went out of gear and had to back it down. I was digging out a quart of ATF in this photo. The fluid stain on the rock was there before we arrived. Honest!
