Hello there! I'm a newbie to the site so I thought I'd say hi. I'm from the great white north, I have 4 Jeeps and just finished doing an 80 Wagoneer (my first FSJ). I did this one on a budget of $1500 so it doesn't look too bad for what it was worth! :)

I also have an 87 MJ pickup, a 97 TJ (this is my pride and joy rock crawler that is still in the process of getting built) and my daily driver is a 95 ZJ.

Anyhow just thought I'd say hi. Great site you have here!

Welcome to the site! That's a nice looking wag, and you'll be surprised once you get it out there how capable it really is.

Welcome to the nuthouse. Since you already have other rigs with the same nameplate, you are too far gone to salvage, and will fit right in.:D

Good looking wag with the "rhino" nose conversion, I see locking hubs on it, has the NP208 case??

Come on down and all of us here at the shop can go out to the local course and play 18 (figure you are at a golf course up there from the background)

Welcome Blondie(and with dark hair no less eh?). Always nice to see more Kanukistan folks on here especially ladies. ;)
Nice job for $1500...be proud Blondie. Keep going to make it what you want. Go girl! Bucking the tide is what FSJ folks are all about. ;)

Thanks for the welcome guys!!

Yeah I've got a bit of a Jeep addiction. I still want to restore a CJ2A some day but for right now I'll try to get these done. :)

I bought the 64 Gladiator gril as the first "mod". It sure made a difference from that plastic 80s crap they had on there before.

As for the golf carts haha... the guy who owns the shop behind me rents those out to courses and just stores them there for the winter. I absolutely HATE golf haha. Probably because it's the only sport that I'm really, really bad at. lol.

It has the locking hubs & 208 tcase as well. :) There's a lot of work that needs to be done to this thing... I can clean a lot of the stuff out form under the hood & I need to do a major tuneup, but I'm proud of this little bugger.

Here's some before pics:

Still lots of work to be done, but so far this is probably one of my favorite vehicles that I've owned!

And welcome to the board.:)

I used a heavy tin to patch them up. Cut out all the old rusted stuff & then cut some new panels. Sorry about the dark picture.. :(

I'd love to stop down in the US to do some trail rides. My husband got picked as an alternate for the Four Wheeler Top Truck Challenge this year so we will be leaving for our road trip to Cali for TTC on June 2 and hitting the Rubicon on the way back. Unfortunately my TJ wont be ready in time for me to drive at the Rubicon, so I guess I'll just be a spectator. :(

Thanks for lightening the picture... it looks much better.

Here's some pics of my TJ's cage...

http://evolutionmachine.com/uploads/post-1-1155525035_thumb.jpg

I'll get some more updated ones tomorrow. Some specs on it:

97 TJ
Custom 4 link suspension by Evolution Machining
complete with 16 Evo heim joints
Highsteer, assisted hydro
16" King Coilover shocks
Dana 44 & 60 combo with 5.13's abnd detroit locked front & rear
37" Pitbull Rockers on 17" Dick Cepek DC1 rims (might have to go to 39.5's)
Stak 2 speed tcase
full cage, partial exo by Evolution Machining

uhmm... thats about it I think. Until I get more money & can afford a motor swap next year.

Nah no need to go there(shady FSJ forum history). Sheesh with what you've done and with your appropriate attitude and also with you and the ol'man doing the TTC...you're gonna fit well here. Do scroll the offroad section too. Some hardcore dust bunnies hang there with mega knowledge to share.

Welcome aboard from Atlanta.

Lame question but did the 1980 Wag use the diamond style tail lights? I thought they switched over to the square tail lights beginning in 1980?

Excellent job for $1,500.

I don't know how my name got changed, but I was originally on here as Carnuck (Canuck was taken when I got online in '96 and so was carnut so I made my own word)
Formerly from BC and now living in Seattle area (just so I'll be close to Reiter trails, I bought a cabin where I hope to build a new house soon)

Nope. I beleive Jeep used the diamonds through '84 or '85 on the Wags. '80 was the first year for the 727, the AMC 20, the rubber stoppers on the bumpers (correct me if im wrong on that one), the NP229, and prolly a bunch of other stuff too.

The wedding party walked down the aisle to "Truck Got Stuck" by Corb Lund and I walked down to "Redneck Woman" by Gretchen Wilson, followed by leaving the ceremony to Spider Bait's version of Black Betty. Best wedding ever. ;)

Welcome aboard from Maryland!! (Another Maryland member). Anyway its always good to have any additonal members to our madness be they male or female. Great to have another member on board especially one who is capable of doing thier own mods. (Can you all say write ups and tech archive articles?)
