Ok Guys, I am running my vent hoses from the diffs/tranny/Tcase so I can go wheelin. I want to run them all together into a manifold and bring them up into the engine compartment, and maybe oneday buying a K&N filter that can handle the hoses. but for now I have run into slight prob though. I cannot find the vent for my 727, or for me front axle. Do you know where they may be? Help!!!! I need to jump in the nearest mudhole, but I don't want H2O in Me stuff. AARRGGGGGGGG

Are we talking about the Wag? The front axle vent is on top of the diff. housing with a hose running to the radiator core support. Not sure the 727 has anything more than a small vent tube.

I'm not finding no hose of the front axle, more or less a hole where the vent tube should go. And for the 727 I just can't seem to locate where the vent hose should go. Its got me puzzled.

Nothing on the TF727. The D44 there is a Hole in the Top with a nipple pressed into it, if the hose is off you will not see the nipple without getting your head between the oil pan and the Diff, IT HIDES!!! Sometimes when the hose gets ripped off it takes the nipple with it leaving just a hole that fills up with Gunk!!

The stock TF727 vent is a hole in the front-pump, behind the torque-converter, with a plastic baffle. I tapped and plugged that hole, then drilled the housing itself for a brass elbow that I tapped into the transfer-case vent line.

It's not hard, but you'd have to pull the tranny to do it. You would just have to pull the front-pump, then use rags on the inside of the case to make sure that NO chips from drilling made their way to the inside of the case.

Yesterday I noticed a vent tube sitting against the fenderwell with a bolt in a clamp on it but couldn't figure out where it was supposed to go. Now I know! Thanks. Geez I gotta pay more attention when removing things.

My front axle vent hose is doubled over and strapped to the axle! I don't know what someone was thinking, but I suppose they just wanted to get it out of the way. smile.gif
Vents are on my list of things to fix right after front tow hooks.
It sounds like getting a vent hose onto the tranny is gonna be a PITA!!
