To those that have switched to the Edelbrock 1406 (650 CFM, auto choke)...

How did you run your gas line? I tried it a few ways, but am unhappy with what I can come up with. I was thinking on getting some AN fittings and some steel braided hose so I can run the line in front of the water pump and then come up the passenger side. The fuel filter would have to be relocated to below the fuel pump, but I don't think that's a big deal. Any ideas???

I used the original stainless line coming off the pump, and left the fuel filter in factory location. Then I run some efi hose off the filter to the carb. Check my kink at the bottom of my profile, there might be a helpful pic. Though I am not certain.

I did the same as Trssho... Just ran longer line from the filter to the carb. :D

I kept the original line but put in an in-line glass filter as well. It works great when I run out of gas, 'cause I can see if I'm getting gas or not into the carb. Just another way of eliminating problems!

It just looks to me like that would be a lot of hose, and it has to turn a tight 180 before the inlet. It also appears that the hose from the pump is a 5/16, and the Edelbrock nipple is a 3/8. But, if y'all didn't have any trouble, I'll just run a longer line...

I ran mine kinda like the others, but i tried to make the bend as wise as possible, and kept it high so that it wouldent get too hot.
