brake problem

My '83 Wag front master cyl tank went dry-I replaced the problem-bad axle T hose. I bled the system twice. I still have a "shoosh" sound from the power booster air filter when I apply my brakes, which act as if I don't have power brakes. Any helpfull hints?

Sounds like either a bad vacume leak or a booster going bad. The whoosh sound isn't a hydraulic sound it's in the booster, vacume line, or the vacume line connector at the booster. I'd start looking there, with the engine running have someone push on the brake pedal while you look and listen for the leak.
