i have an 82' j20. I was wondering if i would be able to put 37" tires on my truck with a 6" lift? I have a custom wooden flatbed on the back so clearance isn't a problem in the back, only in the front. I would still like to have some flex in the front end while wheeling. thanks for all your help, CoPilot

If you cut the fenders (:D ) you can put them on the stock suspension.
So with 6"...yeah...you should be fine...but the back spacing is what's important. I'm running H2s on 37 MTRs and they fit just fine right now (stock susp....cut fenders) After I finish my SOA...I'll be even better with flex.
I post up some pics later to show you what I'm talking about clearance wise

Here's a quick before shot to give you and idea on clearance.
And if you have the ability to do SOA...you'll get a lot more flex than a 6" SUA and be much happier with the ride.

I had 36s and a 4 inch lift on my J10. They did fine until the springs did some heavy flexing. I had a little rubbing with the front tires.

Here is my J10 with a 6" lift and 34" tall tires. It would be really tight in back, but up front they would fit I think.

a couple of months back Jp Magazine did a J20 with a Skyjacker 4" lift and stuffed 37's on it. so 6 should be doable, they did have to hack off the flares to make them fit.
