i just put the NP435 in my jeep behind the 360 and i have no idea where the engine was sitting with the t-18. im wanting to keep a flat belly with the NP435/205 setup but i dont want to have my motormounts with undue stress on em cuz ive jacked the tranny too far up before i fabbed the crossmember.
im going to reuse the original crossmember and weld the rubberpad and mount from the NP435 to my crossmember. how the hell do i figure out where the engine is gonna sit level with the motormounts not bound up.
will this net me a flat belly like i had before with the t-18/dana 20 setup?

When your fan blades are square to the radiator surface;) Just an fyi on stress on the motor mounts... doubt it will be much of a problem, with my whole doubler on there and the rear output raised 3" (I have a body lift to accomodate this) it only raised the rear of the engine block 3/4" and the mounts are well forward of that.

ok i was assuming that if i did but it in a bind and then did break a motor mount that it would be hell to replace it being that i put the mounts in a constircted position. ill check that radiator, fan thing out this weekend

Make your own out of 1/4" plate, 1/4" wall DOM and wrangler poly bushings.

**** those are nice mounts!!!
its seems that my fan is 1/8" farther away at the top which would mean the tranny should go up even more, which is perfectly fine, would a good stopping point be when the bottom of the tranny is actually level, which it should be in order to acurately check the fluid level like it would have been from the factory?

The engine is tilted back some from the factory in most every application I have seen. And when it comes to auto trans fluid checking, you do it with the engine running, so level ground isnt very important. But with the 435, fluid level isnt THAT critical. A bit of tilt wont hurt anything, as the fluid difference would be small. But having the trans level would help your front drive shaft angle some.
