I joined the TFI upgrade club today and, so far, my throttle response is vastly improved. I thought the accelerator pump was causing my hesitation problem from 0 mph, now I know it was something electrical.

The parts I used:

--MSD 8.5mm wires
--MSD TFI coil
--Champion truck plugs
--MSD 6a box
--1991 Mustang coil bracket

Note: I should have bought the MSD Blaster 2 coil, instead of the TFI coil, because the Blaster 2 coil is the same shape as the Jeep coil and you can just slide it right in the existing bracket.

To install the TFI coil, you have to make or buy the TFI bracket, and then find a place to install it on the car. This is time-consuming.

The MSD Blaster coil does replace the stock coil...but without being so technical, the square coil produces or is more reliable than the can coil.
I'm assuming that's what your talking about. You did mention the ease in replacing the Blaster...right.
Somebody help me here on the specs.

I did the same upgrade but with the cap,cap extension, and rotor, it runs so much better, maybe I'll try to get my MSD box repaired and put it back on.
