I want to mount a 2BBL FI throttle body onto the Edelbrock Performer 4 BBL intake manifold. I need to make an adapter to do this. The Performer is a dual plane manifold and I'm wondering whether it makes a difference how far forward or back over the 4 BBl opening I could go and not effect performance. I'm not even sure it would effect performance. I know nothing about the concepts behind a dual plane manifold, but it looks like the air fuel mixture passes through two different distcit levels inside the manifold. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Your manifold will be fine. Your type of fuel injection is essentially an electronic carburetor. Holley makes an adaptor to fit a Holley or GM throttle body onto a square bolt manifold.
