License plate light no worky....

...and I removed the 4 screws holding a flat plate lens in the little "pope's nose" structure directly over the tag and found that jungle rot has taken over.....

As seen in the lower left corner of the pic the socket assembly needs serious help.

I am prepared to fab more than I'm prepared to try to hunt for this part at 26.4 KPBS dialup, the connection from hell.

So if any of you can come up with a source for this to save me some fab-work then I am grateful to ya! :thumbsup:

Hi drlocke. I don't know how different my '74 is from yours , but I was able to find a lamp with assembly in the HELP section at Kragen that screwed right in with minimal cussing.

or go to a peterbuilt dealer (or any other truck dealer,or big truck stop) and go to the parts section,they'll have a lot of different lights you can put in its' place.

all my parts wags have lenses with 2 bolts holding them in place.
