My Drivers wiper slaps on the bottom of the molding, all the way down in the 'parked' position. It does it only on 'high'.I adjusted the arm on the pin, but aparently a bushing is worn as it now hits on both ends of the cycle! My question is, anybody ever drill in and get to that problem? Any ideas of where to start, what I will need? Thanks!

I had the same problem on my J-10. My solution was to determine exactly where the wiper arm was hitting, and running a bead of clear silicone, about 1/4 " thick, and about an inch long, along the chrome windshield trim where it hit, and letting it cure. That did not stop the slapping, but it sure took all the noise out of it.

My '88's left wiper hit on the side and the right hit on the bottom.Adjusting the arms on the pivots solved my problem, but if youv'e tried this and it still hits then you may have a worn bushing.

COol Ram, do you know where that bushing is? I am thinking that it is center, behind the glove box. In any event, that is where I will start. Thanks!
