Is there any possible way, without using gobs of RTV and hose clamps:rolleyes: , to have the intake hose go from the square factory intake snorkel to a 3" round fitting? Does anybody make an intake hose that'll work or do I have to get creative?

If you want to mount a cone style air filter, there was just a post on this to which I suggested using a 'carb hat' used for blow-through blower and turbo setups. However, this is not useful in any way on a carbureted engine unless you're making a snorkel or using forced induction. The best high flow air intake for these things would be to find a dual snorkel intake from a Ford or Dodge, or make one like Ristow did, and connect the hoses to the two cold air inlets in the front valence.

Search for a carb hat on ebay and aftermarket suppliers. Then find one to fit a 3" tube that has a 5 1/8" base. This is for the Chero I assume?

What about using one of those ABS Gutter adaptor things - they are a cap that fits on a 3" round ABS/PVC pipe and has a square tip for your downspout to slip into?

Can get them at almost any decent hardware store

Use a heat gun and just get the plastic hose hot and form it to the new tube.
