View Full Version : J20 Front Driveshaft replacement

The idiot little brother managed to explode the lower front driveshaft & UJ on MadMax last night, :mad: :mad: So he's paying for a (hopefully heavier duty) replacement:D. Any hints on something stronger to replace it with?
I assume it is a spicer part? I'd need part #'s as we don't have many US trucks here to scavenge bits off.
I'm off to the driveshaft shop at lunch to see what they reckon and if we can get any parts at all.

I would think the driveshaft shop could probably just repair what you have broken - what "exploded" exactly?

Sounds like he blew the joint and lower yoke on the drive shaft.
His joints are the 1310 series and he may want to step uo to the 1350 series yoke for the diff and get a replacement 1350 lower slip end for the drive shaft.
