FSJ on pimp my ride

I was flipping through the channels tonight and saw a teaser for the new season of pimp my ride and they flashed to what looked like an 87 or newer Grand Wag. I guess I'm kinda curious as to what they will do to "pimp it" Whatever they do, I'm sure it'll be a waste of a perfectly good jeep.

They can build 3 tier stadium seating in the back so they can all cram in their vehicle to play video games and watch movies on a 7" screen. I love my vehicles but not that much. Whatever happened to doing things that didn't involve batteries or electricity all the time? :mad:

FOR SURE! that would be soo sweet! FOose is the man, and i'm sure it would have a nice balance between bling/function. i'm sure a lift would go on it! maybe some thing like the bargain beater with a sweet paint scheme. :rolleyes:

As far as pimp my ride, it will still leak oil, have stock exhaust, but i'm sure it will have audio comming out its tail gate. I think they should get some of us on that show.. haha. IFSJA could show them how its really done with a couple of redneck bumpers/backyard fabbin' going on, and of course wheelin' and dealing at the junk yards! :thumbsup:

I would gladly let them "pimp" my ride. I would then turn around and sell it on ebay the next day for massive amounts of cash to someone who thinks it is cool (they are out there). I would then buy a different FSJ (probally a 401 equiped rig) then take it back to WCC, have them put a nice sounding system in it. Then lift it and use it to run over anything goes into that shop and comes out lower on bigger wheels.

That show is a waste of human inteligence.

If they put anything bigger than 17s wrapped in 30s without lifting it, I say that we all petition the crap out of that show and hope to god it goes off the air. The most idiotic thing they have done so far is putting monitors in mud flap and a snowboard.

i've seen them lift a couple trucks. one was an old Chebby delivery truck.

the regular Pimp My Ride is kinda bad, but the Euro version is HORRIBLE.

With the Trucks episode, Ryan putting 22's on his Grand Wag :rolleyes2:;), and "Retro" being in fashion and all.
There have been more Grand Wags in advertising over the last year on tv and in print.

Say good bye to cheapish parts at junyards and such as the rare get rare-er

All I can say is, if they plan on pimping a Grand Wag AND have it running, they better have gotten started on it a few months ago :dancingbanana:

As for Pimp My Ride, haha, I like the show. I thinks its funny. The crew and the reaction of the car owner, its just hilarious. I like SOME of their finished products and dislike many as well. They did a decent job on a landcruiser once. (girl was cute too) Remember the T100 with the drive off quad?

Seriously, they've done some ludicrous stuff- the monitors in the mudflaps went a bit too far- did you see what they did to the Pacer though (I'm also an AMC fan)?

Anyway, I'm gonna Tivo that episode- you never know where some ideas come from, eh? I also know that the bigger the rig, the more $$$$ they can stuff in it- hence what better rig to get pimped than a FSJ???

I'm hoping for Plasma screens and huge toolbox that hydraulically appears from a secret compartment and an AMC V-8 with mega add-ons.....oh, and of course, don't forget the lift oh, and.....and.....on and on.

The sneak peek showed the FSJ with a blingy grill- sort of flat sheet chrome with design carved in it- like one of those custom jobs you see on newer F350's.......anyone know when it'll be on TV?

That's what my 87 needs, a wag would be good too, I picture it with a gladiator grille and a 2 tone paint scheme with striping that resembles mid to late 70's Jtrucks that had 2 tone.

That was me. I won a local radio station hosted version of Pimp My Ride.
Not a televised show. (with the help of many of you here) Thanks for the votes.
The vehicle that won the voting was my 78 CheroChief, but the body was too far gone for them to do anything with. So they did up my 87 Grand G'neer, which was in very nice shape but did need paint.
They did body work and paint, tires and wheels, exhaust, and audio equipment etc. and a years supply of Dr. Pepper.

I stole all the suspension and rear axle out of my Cherokee to put in the Waggee

Yup, 7:30. I'll set the dvr to record it, and then brace myself to see them either do a good job (which as of late I've noticed all the cars get a nice interior and paintjob and a big stereo system, no more silly crap) or go with the silly crap and ruin it.

Just watched an episode where they did a '72 Caddy hearse, it got a motorized slide out coffin that contained a grille and fridge. So there's still silly crap, but at least it wasn't as bad as the wheat grass in the rear windows of the Pacer
