...or does the whole pack sag? In other words, will new main springs bring the truck back to stock height?

Thanks,

Well a new main spring will help a little, not a lot, the others have taken their fair share of strain too. If you are not too worried about the ride quality (I like the stiffer ride), have them add a new secondary main under the main (my secondary is 3/8" thick). Otherwise, for your year, you have lots of new spring options available.

i had a worn out spring pac on the 65 of mine and i tried a lot to get shape back into them and nothing worked until i got a used set of 3/4 ton springs from a suburban removed the main leaf and the overload leaf cut them to length used my original main leaf to hang them and threw all the old ones away now i have a 4 leaf pack that rides good and has better shape then my old 7 leaf packs

These Suburban springs, were they 2.5" wide or 2"? Both of the springshops I talked to here want almost $200 a corner for new springs, and over $100 apiece for rearching. (Compare to as little as $115 and $50 on the right coast). Your Suburban trick would make me wicked happy if the donor vehicle's leaves are 2.0"
Thanks
