Anyone have a solution? Mine's history and gets a "bit" drafty in the cab, not to mention the associated rattles that mask the engine and road noises...

I am gonna watch this thread. The trip to Elizabeth and back over the weekend left me half deaf from the wind noises in the 77 J20. Why are my ears still ringing? I think the doors need all new rubber parts and latch alignments. And low back FSJ seats are not good for a 51 year old abused back...

Many upholstery supply stores sell the fuzzy portion of velcro by the foot for this very application. The stuff I bought is 2 inches wide and has the super sticky black adhesive on the back side (with that waxy paper protective covering that you pull off when you're ready to install). I removed the vent window/channel, ground out the old junk from the channel, and then folded the velcro over on itslef and layed it into the channel. Trim off the excess with a razor blade, and it's like new...but you must get a good clean surface for the adhesive.
By the way, you can get new factory style felt channels, but they're riveted into the vent window frame assembly and it's a real bear replacing them. These were the only seals/felts that I gave up on as being too difficult to replace with new factory stuff. For those folks in the Fort Worth area, the material is available at J&J paint and interior supply on White Settlement. Lindel, you can take a look at it tomorrow, and if you think it would work for you, I can buy a few feet of the stuff and mail it to you.
