What exactly was your question, Adam? I must have missed it in the excitement! ;)

Call Crane Cams and see if they have the roller cams available yet. They have hydraulic (not solid!) roller lifters as a retrofit application for the AMC and were supposed to have a core available for the cam real soon. That would make a cool setup. The lifters were supposed to be priced the same as the Chevy ones. I don't have need of it myself yet, but I have been wanting to see what could be done with it.

I've had good luck with the milder PAW cam & lift "kit" (Super Stock Industries) in a 030 401. It was a LOT more powerful than a crane that I tried years ago and an offy "RV" cam. Have one ready to go into a 360 stocker I'm building as we speak (cut the s**t out of my hand yesterday pulling a crank for it, cost me $15 for the crank and $75 (copay) for 4 stitches when I was done!

Anyway, the grind is pretty aggressive, but only cost 1/2 MPG over the offy and crane, but was a LOT more power.
