so awhile back i pulled a passenger front fender off a early grand wagoneer (had the grand in scrip with wagoneer in block letters) well i started geting tired of looking at the gold color and took my paint stripper wheel to it :( . i ended up finding filler over 1/8in. thick on the front lower piece thats welded to the fender. now i need another fender or another lower piece. i know i/m picky but i'd rather scrape so paint than have a chuck of filler falling off:banghead:

I hear ya, I've stripped down a few fenders now and found thick filler on alot of them. 1/8th inch isn't bad and if it's done right, isn't a problem.
I've gotten to the point where I just take em to steel and paint em, but this is rock rig country. *shrug*
