I did some electrical work to a friend's fab shop so in exchange I'll be getting my roll cage done finally.
Has anybody caged their Cheros pre-runner style? Not as radical as desert beast since I want to keep the interior functional, comfortable and sealed for highway driving and towing to the races.
Pics are welcome.

From what I'm told it's most likely a Smittybilt but not 100% sure.

Thanks. Are you leaving the front of the cage out for a reason?

GRAND_WAG_85 ...
Is this some kind of bolt together kind of cage or is it actually welded together

Rhino-There never was a front portion of the cage, I'd like to add one in though.
Tigger-It came with the Jeep but the two runners that run from the front to the back of the truck are bolt in, everything is is welded together. The PO told me he believes it was made by Smittybilt at one time but he wasn't 100% sure.

No front portion, it's NOT a safety cage. The front roof can still collapse on you and break your neck. Draw a straight line from the front of that "cage" to the front of your hood. Look how the line intersects your head.

No problem. I just don't want people to think, hey, I can just put bars in the BACK of my truck and I'm fine!

Good looking pics of your Wag ... I'd probably want to do my cage the same way if I had one instead of my Chero.

Nice cage! Do you tie directly to the frame or with brackets on the side of the framerails?

Its welded to the frame. Anything less is just a decoration.

I'm with you on that, what I meant to ask is how do you connect to the frame on the downtubes that don't go down directly to the frame beams?

excellent pictures, thats exactly what mine will look like when the time comes. but i do hope to get a little bit more leg room in front so my long legs and big feet can get around it. also i'll have a cross bar between the b and c tubes right over the wheel well for added strength.
do you have a better pic of the dash/front hoop? like a wider shot from the drivers side door across the dash/interior.

Ill get that pic for you tomorrow and it does lessen the foot room a little but its the best i could get it and still use everthing on the dash and not tearing into the dash. And also im gonna add more bracing down the road but it will save me if i roll it again. My eventual plan is to cut the top off and then i will brace the cage a lot more. But until i cut the top off i need a way to use the back seat and allow passengers back there.
