Hello,
I was going to remove my drier for a switch over to R134 and It looks like I have to remove the radiator and the transmission cooler.
Is that correct or is there an easier way.I have already removed the grill .It also looks like the drier is riveted on and not bolted. Is this the case.Anyone remove one of these before.
Thanks,

radiator must be at least unbolted... if you can squeeze a small hand in there to remove the two screws that hold it on....you won't have to remove it... i had to remove it though....
they make new kits that don't need to have anything changed. just vent the R12 (supposed to be done by a certified place....) and refill with R134.

I'd only replace the receiver/drier if I was changing something like the compressor.
Let us know if it blows good cold air when you are done. I've been needing to change over for a while but have heard that those little Ford pumps didn't build enough pressure for the 134 to work well.

If you do need to remove it, I'd say from experience that you'll save yourself time by removing the radiator. I don't remember if removing the tranny cooler helped or not.
