we have a 1978 cherokee chief automatic i think it has the bm 1339 it will jump out of gear into nutral unless you hold it in gear is this in adjustment and where can i find ajust specs and discription on this unit
Before you start adjusting things check the rubber parts of the trans/tcase mount.

What Joe said, also don't forget the motor mounts. The trans mount can look ok but if the motor mounts are shot it can do this as well.

Mine did that with a busted T-case mount on the X-member.... ditto the above....

if its a BW then ignore this, but i had this problem on a Dana 20 and i fixed it w/ a twin stick conversion. on the D20 the problem is in the shifter not the tcase.
