where is the reverse in a t-18??? is it all the way to the right and up??
I found a j-truck I am going to nab and part out, and it seems to have 4 forward gears and reverse seems to be all the way to the right and up, is this right???
My 77 J-20 with t-18 is up to the right. I think in the 80s it was to the right and down.

2 Versions of the T18. The common FSJ version is reverse to the upper right. It should have the 4.02 1st gear.
The one that reverses down to the right is a 6.?? first, IIFC.

All of the FSJ used T18's have the 6.32:1 first gear. The change from reverse being up by 3rd to down by 4th happened in 79.
Yeah my t-18 with 'up to the right' reverse has the 6.32:1 first gear.
