Just looking at the rust I need to fix on the J10, the worst of it, frame-wise, is the driver's side rear forward spring mount and the driver's rear shock mount. Originally thought a frame splice was in order but I'd have to do both sides if I went that route do to the crossmember. Another option is an all out frame transplant but that's the last resort, is there any way to fix the damage in the pix? This is the only thing holding me back from registering it.

Shock Mount

Looking forward at the DS spring mount, excuse the mud.

Looking at the same mount from the other direction.

Same mount but on the PS

It's held up surprisingly well for the shape it's in, just don't want it to break:o

Well the frame it self looks to be okay. The shock mount is an easy fix. Heck, you could just run a long grade 8 bolt through the frame if you don't want to get fancy. Looks like you might be better getting a new spring mount instead of fixing that one. This is just your work truck anyway right?

Yea, the most road driving it will ever see will be the occasional trip to tractor supply or just down the road to the gas station. As of now it sees 99% field work, literally.

I think i'd be looking at changing out the frame considering rust never sleeps. I'd check out the rest of the frame very carefully with a magnet and a small ice pick or something, the strength will certainly be compromised and you'll probably end up patching it up constantly. Just my .02 cents worth.
