Does anybody know if a YJ/CJ-7 frame will fit inside of a wagon body FSJ? I only ask because I need to pick one up for a friend and want to avoid towing a trailer until I can get the QT chain swapped.

remove the rear seat and put the frame in there at an angle (better have some strong friends), leave the tailgate down, and use some chain or tie-down straps to keep it tied to the rig, you might be ok.

I have a bare '76 CJ-5 frame in the garage right now (width-wise, it should be the same as a CJ-7).

Without the rear cross member on, the widest point is 46". The rear crossmember is 50" wide.

Hope this helps!

A yj frame is wider than a cj7 frame, lengths should be about the same though. I'd measure mine for you, but then I'd have to lay in the snow...

It'll fit, but I bet it will chew up your interior and will be tail heavy out the back. You also don't want to get rearended.

Can you get your hands on a little ATV trailer or something small that won't stress the QT chain? These are light and will easily carry a CJ frame.

I guess I could see just how strong the TadRack is...

I have an M416 trailer I could strap it to but my QT chain is so bad that it slips under light acceleration w/no extra weight. A new chain is on the way.

I ended up pulling the rear seat, the roll cage and put it inside. Thanks for the help guys!
